Whether you are a beginner or a sport climber, there are numerous options for climbing in the Ötztal Alps in Sölden. There are two climbing gardens in the village that offer a wide range of routes at different levels of difficulty. The "Moosalm" climbing garden is particularly recommended for families, while the routes in the "Freizeit Arena" will also delight experienced climbers. There is also an attractive via ferrata to climb in the Moosalm area.

There are over 300 kilometers of marked hiking trails in Sölden, offering exciting ascents and unforgettable views for all ages and tastes. Comb through our mountain world as you like it best, with themed and circular hiking trails, panoramic trails and challenging alpine tours up to over 3,000 meters. The seven mountain lifts take you comfortably up to lofty heights and safely back down again. Exciting hikes are crowned with a break at one of the many traditional Alpine huts.

Treat your tired hiking & biking legs to a pit stop: cruise with the mountain cart, a kind of off-road go-kart with 3 wheels without motorization, over 7.3 kilometers from the Gaislachkogl middle station down into the valley to Sölden. With a valid cable car ticket, Summer Card or Regio Card, take the gondola to the middle station, rent a mountain cart and you're ready to start your speedy descent into the valley. This cable car takes you up to the middle station to the start of the mountain cart route and from the Gaislachkogl middle station down into the valley to Sölden.
