Cross-country skiing
Both skaters and traditional cross-country skiers will be delighted by Sölden's diverse trails. Enjoy the altitude training effect on the three free trails and enjoy picturesque views of snow-covered landscapes. You can ski the flat Hofer Böden-Windau trail right next to us, tackle smaller ascents and descents on the Untersölden trail or complete the medium-difficulty forest and meadow circuit at Zweiselstein.
Snowshoeing
Strap snowshoes on your feet and set off into the winter paradise. Hiking through untouched, snow-covered landscapes and enjoying the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the pistes is a rewarding experience for the whole family. Depending on your preference, you can complete your snowshoe hikes on your own or benefit from the expertise of a local guide. Of course, you can use the rental service of the local sports stores if you don't have the necessary equipment.
Skiing
It is not for nothing that Sölden is known as a fantastic winter sports resort. With an altitude of 1,350 to 3,340 meters and two glaciers, the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers, the ski resort offers reliable snow conditions. From October to May, 32 lifts offer 144 km of perfectly groomed slopes with snow-making facilities. From beginners to experienced skiers, Sölden offers fun in the snow at the highest level, whether on skis or snowboard. A visit to one of the 33 ski huts in the ski area is a delicious way to round off a successful day's skiing.
Tobogganing
Effortless speed with a dash of daring: tobogganing in Sölden puts you into a frenzy of movement, whether on a racing model or a children's toboggan. You can live it out on the family-friendly toboggan run with a length of 7.3 km from the middle station of the Gaislachkoglbahn, making it one of the longest toboggan runs in Austria. Suitable toboggans can be hired for a fee from the sports stores near the Gaislachkoglbahn valley station. The ascent with the Gaislachkoglbahn I is possible with a valid ski pass, a toboggan ticket or a single ticket. Once a week, the toboggan run from the Gaislachkogl middle station is floodlit in the evening.
